Kishtwar Police Rescues 18 Passengers, Evacuates 6 Passenger Vehicles Fresh Snowfall at Sinthan Top, Incessant Rains

The Sinthan Top during the last midnight and early morning received intermittent fresh snowfall & heavy rains. Due to the fresh snowfall and incessant rains around six vehicles with18 passengers got badly trapped in the second road curve on this side of Sinthan Top side.

 

On receiving the news of trapping of vehicles and passengers including some females and minor children, the police immediately swung into action.


Under the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary, SHO Police Station Chatroo Inspector Mohd Bashir managed 02 JCBs & reached the spot alongwith police rescue teams. The police got the track cleared & after a lot of hard work has rescued all the 18 Passengers and evacuated all the 06 trapped vehicles.

 

It may be mentioned that the Airtel & Jio mobile companies during the processes of cable laying have badly damaged the Sinthan road. These companies have violated all the rules and have virtually ploughed the road turning it into a heap of debris. The police is going to take a stern action against these companies for damaging public property and throwing the life of people/passengers into death traps.
