DDC Doda reviewed arrangments for Ramazan

District Development Commissioner Doda Bhawani Rakwal reviewed the arrangements for upcoming holy month of Ramadan here today.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue Tariq Hussain Naik, CPO Yoginder Katoch, Dy SP Hq Iftikhar Ahmed, Tehsildar Doda Giasul Haq, Xen PWD (R&B) B. L Thusoo, officers and representatives of various line departments besides Members of Seerat Committee, presidents of different trade unions and prominent citizens also attended the meeting.
The meeting Chalked out a detailed plan and devised strategy for making adequate arrangements to provide hassle free essential services to the people in the holy month and to ensure that they may not face any problem with regard to supply of essential commodities, drinking water, electricity, traffic management, security and sanitation.
DDC directed the police department to deploy sufficient number of security personnel around mosques, business areas and other places during the day as well as night time to avoid any mis-happening.
Responding to the issues raised by the representatives of Seerat committee and President Beopar Mandal/ Butchar Association, the DC directed the PDD and PHE department to take measures to provide adequate services to the people.
The DDC impressed upon the officers to ensure availability and supply of essential commodities to the consumers during the month.
DDC directed the market inspection committee to conduct regular inspection to keep a check on overcharging and other malpractices besides ensure the quality of food items being supplied to the people.
PDD Department was directed to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity during the month especially during sehri and iftiar time.
He also directed FCS & CA Doda to constitute checking squads to intensify market checking and take strict action against the hoarder and black marketers.
DDC asked the MC Doda to maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness in and around the places of worships and also installation of street lights around Masjids.
The committee also fixed the rate of live chicken, dressed chicken and mutton in the town.
