Crime Branch, Jammu arrests fraudster involved in preparing and issuing fake appointment orders to innocent youths


Brief fact of the case is that a report from some reliable source was received in theCrime Branch that a gang of fraudsters is indulging in alluring innocent educated unemployed youths by impersonating themselves as authorised agents of different govt departments and are extorting money in lakhs rupees from them on the pretext of providing them govt. job.On the receipt of this information case FIR No. 39/2015 U/S 420,467,468,471,120-B RPC 5/2 PC Act P/S Crime Branch Jammu was registered against Mohd Nasir Chandel S/o Mohd. Asgar Chandial R/o Rehmti Udhampur and others. During the course of investigation it was found that the said gang has exploited poor and unemployed youths especially from hilly and remote districts of Doda/Ramban and other districts of state and had extorted lakhs of rupees from these youths on the pretext of providing them govt job. Some fake and fabricated orders of different govt. departments to these youths have also been issued by these fraudsters. The fraudsters impersonating themselves as authorised agents of different departments and had taken money in lakhs from innocent youths. The said accused was evading his arrest since long and in this regard a special team was constituted by SSP Crime Branch Jammu Sh. Ramesh Kumar Jalla which was headed by Insp Abid Rafique. The team used technical methods and successfully arrested Mohd Nasir Chandel from Shaheedi Chowk Jammu. Efforts are on to arrest the other gang members in the coming days.
